Responsibilities [About the Role]
We are looking for experienced finance professionals to help train and evaluate advanced AI models so they can reason like real-world finance experts. In this role, you’ll use your domain knowledge to design challenging finance tasks, review AI-generated outputs, and define clear evaluation standards across a range of finance specialties.
This is a flexible, remote freelance role that can be done alongside your existing professional or academic commitments.
[What You’ll Do]
As a Finance Expert – AI Trainer, you will:
• Evaluate AI-generated answers to finance questions for accuracy, depth, and professionalism.
• Design realistic finance scenarios, prompts, and case studies (e.g., deal analysis, valuation exercises, portfolio problems, trading situations).
• Create scoring rubrics and guidelines to assess model performance in your area of expertise.
• Provide high-quality written feedback to help improve the reasoning and decision-making of AI models.
• Collaborate with AI teams to refine tasks, benchmarks, and evaluation methods over time.
You will not be writing marketing content or generic articles; your work will focus on technical, analytical finance content.
Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Finance (or a closely related field).
At least 2 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Capital Markets
• Portfolio Management
• Equity or Credit Research
• Trading
• Quantitative Finance / Quant
• Investment Banking
• Private Equity
• Venture Capital
• Growth Equity
• Financial Consulting
• Hedge Funds
Strong grasp of core financial concepts such as:
• Valuation, deal analysis, and transaction structures
• Financial modeling and forecasting
• Risk and return, portfolio construction, and performance attribution
• Corporate finance and capital structure
Excellent written English, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and precisely.
